ECO Community Farm & Garden

How your food is grown, raised, and processed influences your health and wellbeing. That’s why we created ECO.

At ECO we are commited to sustainable farming practices. Everything we do is shaped by four core values:

  1. We are commited to producing nutrient-dense, chemical-free foods.

  2. We support and act in the best interests of our members and the wider community.

  3. We oppose animal cruelty in any form.

  4. We act in a way that takes care of our unique environment and eco system.

The Farmer

Note From the farmer Jason Fullston

I have been involved in Organic farming for the last 30 years, developed a large scale Organic property in South Australia and created our own popular meat brand. In this process I recognised the need to re-connect consumers with their food source, the detachment between producers and consumers has enabled the industrial food complex to control both ends with marketing. In that process the farmer has been taken advantage of and the consumer kept in the dark as to the quality of the food.

My father gave me a legacy when he posed a question to me in 1990, he said

‘We have lost something along the way in farming, we are increasing chemical inputs each year, but not achieving higher yields or better quality to match the extra cost, than we did in the 1970’s? If anyone can find what we have lost it will change the future of farming.’

When my father passed away 25 years ago I had a dream to leave a legacy based on his question.

My legacy is to impact the way food is grown and distributed to bring back a sense of community by connecting people to the soil that feeds them

After my own battle with chemical exposure and severe health issues I started studying Organic farming, Soil Science and Human health, and in the process of rebuilding my health and our soil I found what we had lost along the way

The Farmers Wife

Everything needs a heart!

We are privileged to have this amazing ever loving empath that lives and breathes to lift up those around her. A mother of 3 amazing individuals, that all are home schooled and following their passion. If your looking for her she’s in the organic garden growing fresh veggies for the family. She’s an awesome cook, and and acupuncturist in training. After 10 years in the family health food store the desire to solve others health disorders has led to many years of research in how to heal through food and nutrition

Its all about community and great home grown, home cooked meals

The Animal Whisperer

The Farmers Eldest Daughter is a great asset to the farm. She is the great animal whisperer of the family.

She is skilled in raising all manner of beasties, both feathered and furred. She has the unique skill of raising healthy animals, loving animals, and has a keen interest in the unique quality food this creates. Every part of the animal must be used to honour its purpose. She has always wanted to be a farmer right from a very small child and has had many pets. As she has become older she has become a skilled natural vet.

‘Healthy animals make healthy food which leads to healthy people

The Artist/Builder

Everywhere we look there’s an opportunity to create something from what we have. The farmers second daughter has always had a passion for art and craft now that is developing into a love for raw timber and joinery. The past 4 years she has developed her skills on every tool we have and been involved in our renovations and everything we build.

The Inventor

The farmers son has been building unique one of a kind technic creations since he was 4. This kid is on a path to create his own legacy with a firm belief in perpetual energy and the kind of capacity to see things others don’t see.
